My book teaches you to play in reality, not Fantasyland.
Let's look at the fundamental way you play casino craps.  The first roll of a new craps game is called the "come-out" roll.
The shooter is said to be "coming out" with the first roll to start a new game.  Two things can happen as a result of the come-out roll: 1)
the shooter can roll a "natural" and the game ends immediately, or 2) the shooter can roll a "point number."  When playing
bingo online
at
William Hill Bingo, a new game begins with a notification.  For the game of craps, the shooter rolls the dice on a come-out roll to
start a new game.

A "natural" occurs when a 2, 3, 12, 11, or 7 appears on the come-out roll.  A "point number" occurs if any other number appears (i.e.,
4, 5, 6, 8, 9, or 10).

As noted, if the shooter rolls a natural, the game ends immediately.  The same shooter is allowed to continue shooting the next game,
so the next roll that the shooter makes is another come-out roll.  If the shooter rolls a point number, the game continues until the
shooter rolls either a 7 or the point number again before rolling a 7.  In either case (i.e., whether a 7 appears or the point number
appears), the game ends.  If the game ends by rolling the point number before a 7, the same shooter gets to keep the dice and roll the
next game.  If the game ends by rolling a 7, that's called a "7-out," and the dice move to the next shooter for the next new game.

If a 2, 3, or 12 appears on the come-out roll, it's called a "craps."  The shooter is said to have "crapped out."  Read this craps website
to
learn craps terms.

Remember, the term "craps" is used only to describe the situation where a 2, 3, or 12 appears on the come-out roll.  If the shooter
ends the game by rolling a 7 before rolling the point number, it's called a "7-out," not a craps.  Don't confuse the terms.

Whether you win or lose a game depends on how you bet.  You can bet one way, which will make you a winner if certain numbers
appear, and if you bet the exact opposite way, those same numbers will make you a loser.  We'll talk about what wins and what loses
depending on how you bet in my other lessons.

Let's make sure you understand the basic play of craps as I described above.  Let's walk through a scenario and see what happens.

You start a new game by rolling a come-out roll with
craps dice.  On the come-out roll, the number 2 appears.  In this case, you
crapped out (i.e., you rolled a craps).  2 is a natural, so the game ends immediately.  You didn't end the game by rolling a 7-out, so
you get to keep the dice for the next new game.

You roll another come-out roll for a new game, where a 7 appears.  7 is a natural, so the game ends.  You keep the dice for the next
new game because you didn't end the game with a 7-out.

You roll another come-out roll, where a 9 appears.  9 is a point number, so it's called the "point" for this game.  You continue rolling
until either another 9 appears or a 7 appears.  If a 9 appears before a 7, the game ends and you get to keep the dice and roll the next
new game.  If you roll a 7, which is called a 7-out, the game ends and the dice move to the next player to the left who want s to shoot.
Suppose you roll a 9 before a 7.  This is called "making the point."  Since you made the point, the game ends and you keep the dice
for the next new game.

You roll another come-out roll for a new game and a 4 appears.  4 is the point for this game.  You continue rolling until either a 4 of 7
appears.  Your next roll is an 11.  Since the roll wasn't a 4 or 7, you roll again.  You roll a 2.  Since the roll wasn't a 4 or 7, you roll
again.  Now, this time, you roll a 7.  A 7 is a 7-out, so the game ends.  Because you ended the game with a 7-out, your turn as shooter
ends and the next player to your left who wants to shoot becomes the shooter for the next new game.  The
craps how-to information on
this site is invaluable.
